Ash

The wood of this native deciduous tree is of a bright yellow, almost white, colour. It is easy to work with, and thus popularly used for various end products, including furniture, sports equipment, parquet flooring and the like. Ash wood is generally used for indoor purposes, as it is thought to be too unstable for outdoor use.

Hard and heavy. Highly elastic and abrasion-proof. Easy to saw, whittle, bark and turn.
